Much has happened in our neighborhood over the last year! Our sign was damaged, but graciously replaced at no cost to us by Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence. We are very grateful for their generosity. The tulips and daisies are starting to grow, and soon should bloom making our sign a feast for the eyes. We also passed out flyers to the entire neighborhood during January and February. It has our meeting schedule for the year as well as our biggest news: we will be getting a “natural play space” at our local park, the Odenton Natural Area! The current slated opening date, assuming no weather delays, will be May 1st. We are very excited about that!
Our next Chapelgate Community Association meeting will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2017, 7:30 PM at Waugh Chapel Elementary School. Please come and renew your membership to the CCA. Or if you have not become a member yet, become one! We also will open up the slate for the election of President and Secretary. If you are interested in joining the board, please consider running. Elections will happen at the next meeting in April. We also need a new Treasurer to complete the current term, as our last Treasurer moved.
We also will have a guest speaker at our March meeting. Captain Jeffrey Silverman will be speaking to us about our neighborhood. It will be a great opportunity to ask questions of the captain and address concerns about our neighborhood.
Also coming up will be spring cleaning for the neighborhood, so stay tuned on Facebook, and Nextdoor for announcements about that.
Come meet your neighbors! Find out what is happening in our community. Lend a helping hand. We hope to see you on the 21st!
